Hyura Choi is a litigation associate at Cypress, LLP where she specializes in helping innovative companies and individual entrepreneurial clients with intellectual property matters, issues related to trade secrets and general business disputes.

Prior to joining Cypress, LLP, Hyura was an associate in the Los Angeles office of the law firm Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP where she practiced in the real estate litigation section.  Hyura received her J.D. in 2005 from the UCLA School of Law, where she was active as a board member of the Moot Court Honors Program and the Asian Pacific-Islander Law Association.  In the summer of 2003, Hyura served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Norman L. Epstein, California Court of Appeal.  In the fall of 2005, she was a judicial extern to the Honorable R. Gary Klausner, U.S. District Court, Central District of California.

Hyura received her B.A. in History from Yale University in 2002.

Hyura is fluent in Korean and loves going to restaurants in Koreatown. She also enjoys hiking, playing tennis, live music, and movies.
