This program will cover incentives offered by Latin American countries and co-production opportunities between Latin America and the U.S.
Speakers:
- Gilberto Toscano, Esq., Cesnik Quintino & Salinas, Attorneys, Rio de Janeiro. Mr. Britto will speak about tax incentives for audiovisual production offered in Brazil and what, if anything, the change in the political climate there means for the future of those incentives and upcoming productions.
- Lilianne Rodríguez Nieto, Director, Industry Area of the Havana Film Festival. Ms. Nieto is an independent producer who has worked for 13 years as the legal adviser for the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry. At the panel, she will speak on the current climate and the future of financing mechanisms for audiovisual production in Cuba.
- Louis Bronsard is a Canadian producer with a career spanning over 20 years in the production of commercials, feature films & documentaries in South America. Operating from Santiago de Chile, he will be representing the Chilean Association of Film Service Producers. Louis will share the Association’s experience & knowledge with regard to the incentives, advantages and the resources offered in Chile for the benefit of future audio-visual productions.
