Cypress, LLP proudly sponsors Team Joey and their ride against cancer in the upcoming Cycle for Survival event in West L.A. at Equinox. Cycle for Survival is a national indoor team cycling event that funds rare cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). MSK is one of the world’s premier cancer research institutions, and the work conducted at MSK benefits patients around the world. In just the first eight years of Cycle for Survival events, over $59 million has been raised for rare cancer research.
Funding for rare cancer research is critical. Approximately 50% of people with cancer are fighting a rare cancer. And these are familiar diseases: all pediatric cancers, leukemia, lymphoma, thyroid, ovarian, and pancreatic cancers, among many others. The people fighting rare cancers face limited, if any, treatment options. Cypress, LLP is sponsoring Team Joey and participating in Cycle for Survival to change that.
Team Joey is made up of two members of our firm, Tania Moyron and Howard Levine, and a remarkable group of individuals who have experienced the tragedy of cancer. Team Joey rides in honor of Joey D. Garcia, Liz Smagala Tate, Riley Anne Warren, Sandy Levine, and all others touched by cancer.
