Asatur Karapetyan is a versatile transaction attorney and private equity professional. Asatur advises private equity sponsors in acquisition, divestiture, and carve-out transactions.

Asatur also advises clients in variety of industries on commercial and corporate legal matters, including corporate governance, software and intellectual licensing, and financing.

Prior to joining Cypress, Asatur worked in-house for private equity sponsors, providing  sponsor-level strategic counsel and serving as general counsel to portfolio companies in wide-range of industries, including entertainment, travel and leisure, technology, and aviation. He worked hand-in-hand with the sponsors to restructure distressed portfolio companies, successfully addressing contentious legal disputes, liquidity constraints, management deficiencies, and waning employee morale.

Previously, Asatur worked for a global macro hedge fund that invested in swaps, currencies, and interest rate products. Asatur was responsible for the firm’s compliance and operations.
